Halloween at the Portland Children’s Museum
Bring your kids to the Portland Children’s Museum on Halloween for a fun daytime Halloween celebration! Trick-or-treating in every exhibit, spooky art projects, and a slimy experience. This event is candy-free, but still fun, with treats like glow sticks, homemade Halloween buttons, and toys!

For pre-Halloween celebrations head to the Children’s for some not-so-scary fun. Kids can decorate Trick-or-Treat bags, smash pumpkins, play with goo, create a glow-in-the-dark painting, and listen to spooky stories. There is no better way to get in the spirit!

Aerial Tram Halloween Ride
If you haven’t taken a ride on the aerial tram then this is the event to do it! Wear your costume and head to the tram for family-friendly activities including face painting and Halloween arts and crafts. Then, take a ride on the tram to get unbeatable views of the city. Kids under 6 ride free.

The Pumpkin Display West Linn
In a residential neighborhood of West Linn there will be over 200 beautifully carved and lit jack o’lanterns on display. From dancing pumpkins to lasers, these pumpkins are over-the-top! The event will happen rain or shine and will be in an open garage with UV lights, so be sure to wear white so you glow!

Halloweentown
We’ve all seen the classic Halloweentown movies, and living in Portland, we can actually go to Halloweentown. Located in St. Helen’s just about 20 minutes from Portland, Halloweentown is on the Columbia River and they celebrate with a Halloween themed festival throughout October. It takes place in the Courthouse Plaza, and you can take pictures with the famous pumpkin! Along with photo ops there are treasure hunts, haunted houses, street performances, a Museum of Peculiarities & Oddities, Alien Museum, and pumpkin parade! Parking is $10, photo-ops are free, and all other parts are ticketed.
