Beaverton Farmers Market

Enjoy the Local Flair at the Beaverton Farmers Market

One of Portland’s favorite activities in the summer is Farmers Markets. The Portland Metro area has an abundance of farmers markets throughout the week. Some of the markets are much smaller than others, but each market has its own unique attributes.

The Beaverton Farmers Market is located in downtown Beaverton across the street from the Beaverton City Library between 3rd and 5th. It is medium-sized and in a perfect middle location, only about 15 minutes from downtown Portland, and 15 minutes from the outskirts of Beaverton/Hillsboro. During the summer the market happens every Saturday from 8 am until 1:30 pm.

Farmers Market Vendors

The Beaverton Farmers Market features many of the same vendors as the Portland State Farmers Market. So, if you don’t feel like dealing with the hustle and bustle of downtown, and the struggle of finding a parking spot, the Beaverton Farmers Market is a great alternative.

Peak Times at the Farmers Market

This market happens year-round but is most abundant in vendors in the summer season. During the summer the market averages between 15,000 and 20,000 visitors. Vendors include ranchers, artisan foods, live music, and an entire strip of vendors dedicated solely to grabbing a bite to eat. There are picnic tables throughout the market to enjoy your food or bring a picnic blanket to enjoy your food in the park located next to the market.

A Vast Array of Food Options

Not only is it a place to buy your local produce and artisan products for the week, but the Beaverton Farmers Market is also a place you can spend the morning with your family. Everyone can get something different to eat, and they even have vendors that are dietary restriction friendly. Aviv, who has been at the market off and on this summer, serves vegan Mediterranean lunch and breakfast food. Their tofu scramble with local mushrooms, potatoes, and a cashew cream sauce has an abundance of flavor that can please vegans and non-vegans alike.

Other food options include breakfast burritos, BBQ, homemade crepes, and wood fired breakfast pizzas complete with an over-easy egg on top. Feeling like something sweet? The market has you covered with ice cream vendors and a variety of bakery vendors with cookies, scones, brownies, and more!
