Cupboard Goods

Another gem in the Beaumont neighborhood on Fremont Street, Cupboard Goods is full of local and handmade items!

Rachel started with her stunning pottery business called Margaret and Beau and opened Cupboard Goods with her husband Andrew to sell her handmade pottery and give customers a place to buy her ceramics in person. They then decided to include other artists, plants, and to serve coffee, carry kombucha, wine & specialty beers, and host workshops!

Cupboard Goods is a place that celebrates local and global makers and tells their stories through the items they sell. Cupboard Goods may be smaller in size, but the amount of product and the heart that goes into the shop is large. Walking in, you are met with bright and vibrant colors, beautiful ceramics, and a smiling face.

The products are minimalistic but colorful and range from gorgeous handmade mugs and earrings to wreaths, cards, succulents, and so much more. The space is welcoming and friendly, and when Portland gets sunshine, the sun shines in just right through the windows. Most of the ceramics sold are wheel-thrown just 10 minutes away in Rachel’s studio, or from local maker Petra of Sandbox Ceramics. Other products include jewelry, baskets, and soapstone products from Amsha, specialty blown glass from Little Tomato Glass, Truly Kindred candles, Whiskey + Wine polymer earrings, and more!

Cupboard Goods is not your normal shop, Rachel and Andrew wanted to create a home. They want Cupboard Goods to be a place to support businesses that care for other people and the environment and provide customers with goods that are of high quality and can be passed down through generations. If you stop in the shop and love what they sell, attend one of their workshops, where you can learn to create gorgeous mugs just like Rachel, macrame, wreaths, and more depending on the season and the maker leading the workshop!

Coffee and Shopping at Cupboard Goods

Cupboard Goods wants to get to know their customers, so much so that they will pour you a free cup of coffee to taste their current rotating international roaster while you can share your story. The free coffee will be happening through 2019. Cupboard Goods opened fall of 2019, and would love to get to know you! They have a lot planned with their mighty business, so stay up-to-date on workshops and business happenings on their website and Instagram. There’s nothing better than supporting small businesses!
