Family Fun at PDX Flea & Food!

The last Sunday of every month over 40 artists, makers and creators of vintage, handmade, and locally sourced goods come together to sell to the community at something called Portland Flea and Food.

Portland Flea and Food started in 2011 by Portlander Kate Sullivan. Sullivan loved interior design, vintage, and craft, and she wanted to create a central marketplace for local vendors in Portland. The market started small, hosted at Union/Pine. Since its beginning, it has grown immensely and is now hosted at Rejuvenation and Jacobsen Salt. Most people in Portland now know of PDX Flea + Food and it continues to grow.

The market is hosted on the last Sunday of every month except for December and January, from 11 am until 4 pm. It is open to all ages, and you will often see many dogs! Just make sure if you do bring your furry friend to have them on a leash.

Of course with Portland weather comes the question, is the market open in the rain? Yes! The market is open rain or shine, and February, March, October, and November, the market is fully tented, or partially indoors inside of Rejuvenation. The vendors accept both cash and card.

The vendors tend to be similar from market to market, but there are some months where certain vendors are not in attendance and others are. PDX Flea + Food is a great place to go especially as the holidays near! You will not be able to find more unique gifts and treasures anywhere else and are sure to find something for everyone with a variety of vendors. From handmade ceramics, vintage Blazer’s T-shirts, and even re-purposed iron skillets, there is just about everything at PDX Flea + Food!

Be sure to come with an appetite because many favorite food vendors are often at the market. Pip’s Original brings their truck, and during the colder months, there is no better way to warm up than with their mini donuts and chai. Head to PDX Flea + Food for a full morning of fun, mingling, and finding hidden treasures. It is a great place to support the community and shop local!

Next market is October 27th. Best address is SE 6th and Salmon St.
