Stay and Play in Style at the Ace Hotel

Located in the old Clyde Hotel building in Downtown, just a block from iconic Powell’s Books and the Pearl District, the Ace Hotel is a perfect place to stay for Portland visitors. If you are flying, bringing your bike may not be ideal, but don’t worry, Ace Hotel has you covered. They have bikes to borrow in the lobby, and if you really want to ride in style you can rent a bike handmade by Jordan Hufnagel, a local designer, just for Ace Hotel. Biking makes getting around in Portland easy and fun, and you’ll feel like one of the locals!

Of course, Ace Hotel has no shortage of good food (or coffee). Right next door to the hotel, and accessible through the lobby, is Clyde Common. Clyde Common is a European-style restaurant with an award-winning bar. The chefs use ingredients grown and foraged in the Pacific Northwest, and the space has large wooden tables, bar seating and windows that overlook the Portland streets. They have drinks, snacks, brunch, happy hour, and dinner! This restaurant is a must not just for guests, but for Portlanders as well.

We did mention the Ace Hotel does not skimp on the coffee. Located right in the lobby is Stumptown. This hotel couldn’t get any more Portland! With large couches and chairs, a full espresso bar, drip coffee, and cold brew, along with local kombucha, drinks from Pok Pok and tea from Steven Smith teas, this is the perfect place to grab your morning caffeine before you venture into the city. You can also try a pastry from one local Portland bakeries. This Stumptown is also a perfect place for locals to come plant themselves for the day to get some work done, or just grab a quick cup of local coffee.
